Emirates Airlines reinstated its flight services between Dubai and Lagos on Friday, providing a much-awaited relief to passengers following a week of disruptions attributed to heightened tensions in the Middle East.
The flight EK 783 from Dubai touched down at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos at approximately 4:30 p.m., symbolizing the recommencement of an important travel link between Nigeria's commercial center and the Gulf region.
Arriving passengers voiced their relief in returning to Nigeria after the temporary suspension, which had caused inconvenience and forced many to adjust their travel plans.
One passenger, Sunil Bansa, expressed satisfaction with the resumption of regular service after the uncertainty created by the recent flight halt.
Another traveller, Anyim Anthony, described his recent flight experience as smooth and welcomed the restarting of operations to Lagos by Emirates.
Similarly, Ayotunde Balogun commented on the safe arrival back in Nigeria, highlighting that the resumption of flights would alleviate the travel challenges faced by many during the disruption period.
The airline had earlier suspended its operations in light of increasing tensions affecting various international routes across the Middle East.
With flight services back on track, Emirates is expected to progressively restore its full flight schedule between Dubai and Lagos, an essential route for both business and leisure travel connecting Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates.
