Lamine Yamal's exceptional hat-trick powered Barcelona to a resounding 4-1 victory against Villarreal in their Spanish La Liga clash on Saturday.
The 18-year-old prodigy was instrumental in the match, propelling Barcelona to secure maximum points at home.
Yamal opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a fine strike, and just nine minutes later, he doubled Barcelona's advantage by weaving past two defenders before firing the ball into the net.
He completed his hat-trick in the second half, converting a pass from Pedri, thereby becoming the youngest player to achieve this feat in La Liga this century and reaching 101 goal contributions for Barcelona.
Robert Lewandowski added a fourth goal to seal the comprehensive win for Barcelona, extending their lead at the top of the league to four points.
In Germany, Joshua Kimmich scored a late winner to give Bayern Munich a 3-2 victory over rivals Borussia Dortmund in the Klassiker. The win propelled Bayern to a 13-point lead at the summit of the Bundesliga.
Borussia Dortmund initially took the lead through Nico Schlotterbeck's header, but Harry Kane's second-half brace put Bayern in front. Although Daniel Svensson's 83rd-minute goal seemed to have earned Dortmund a draw, Kimmich's decisive strike ultimately sealed the win for Bayern, significantly hampering Dortmund's title aspirations.
In Italy, league leaders Inter Milan extended their lead at the top to 13 points following a 2-0 win over Genoa. Federico Dimarco scored the opener in the first half, and Hakan Calhanoglu converted a penalty to secure the victory for Inter, helping them bounce back from their midweek European exit.
Paris Saint-Germain maintained their lead in the French Ligue 1 with a narrow 1-0 away win against Le Havre. Bradley Barcola scored the decisive goal in the first half. PSG now holds a four-point advantage at the top of the table.
Despite a late surge from the home team, PSG held on for the win, with Desire Doue missing a second-half penalty for Le Havre.
