Felix Morka, who serves as the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has addressed the recent disputes in Oyo State, labeling them as a common aspect of the political arena.

During his conversation with ARISE NEWS on Wednesday, he emphasized, "It's not about crisis. It’s about individuals engaging in the democratic process and asserting their candidacies for the forthcoming elections. This exchange is merely informal and does not indicate any formal issue at this stage."

Morka elaborated that as the largest political party in Nigeria, it is only natural for there to be disagreements, especially with numerous aspirants vying for a limited number of positions.

"Gathering a vast number of individuals and channeling them through a narrow selection process will inherently lead to rivalry and differing opinions," he affirmed.

Regarding the recent commentary on a payment of N5.1 million made by aspirant Fubara Dagogo, Morka stressed the importance of adherence to established protocols. "Those aspiring for positions must comply with the outlined guidelines, and any concerns regarding refunds can certainly be discussed within the party framework," he stated.

He added, “We don’t ‘collect’ funds arbitrarily. We publish clear instructions and rules related to the process along with an account number to ensure transparency. Each candidate, upon making a payment, is expected to be informed of the governing rules.”

Morka reassured that once payment is made, the party respects all candidates, allowing them to approach the party to discuss any potential issues regarding refunds or other concerns.

On the upcoming APC Convention, he stated that it will demonstrate the party's unity and clarify its ambitions moving forward. "Nigerians should anticipate a robust declaration from the APC, aimed at solidifying its organizational framework while putting forth visions for future governance."
