During the court proceedings, the prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, alleged that between 2024 and 2026 in Ado-Ekiti, Harrism and Chinedu conspired to embezzle N11,467,000. It was also claimed that Precious and Omowumi knowingly received the stolen money, which belonged to a certain Chinedu Nnamani.

Inspector Oriyomi outlined that the charges contravene several sections of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, specifically Sections 421, 302(1)(a), and 343.

In their defense, attorneys for the accused, Barristers Oluwafemi Alabi and Kenneth, requested that the court allow for their clients to be granted bail, assuring the court of their commitment to comply with all conditions.

Chief Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun responded to the bail request by granting each defendant bail set at N100,000, with a similar surety amount required.

The legal proceedings have been scheduled to reconvene on March 3 for hearing.
