The former caretaker chairman of Otukpo Local Government Area in Benue State, Honourable Udeh Ijachi, also known as Ukpem, has tragically lost his life after being attacked by gunmen.
Ijachi was reportedly shot to death outside Okabido Hotel in Otukpo on the evening of March 5, 2026.
Eyewitnesses claim that the unidentified attackers opened fire on him before making their escape from the scene.
This alarming event has instilled fear among the local population, leading many to gather around the location shortly after the incident occurred.
