Fawaz Al-Hawasi, a wealthy businessman and former owner of Nottingham Forest football club, suffered injuries following an intrusion by masked assailants at his lavish residence in Mayfair, London.

The 57-year-old Kuwaiti national was reportedly in his bedroom when the group broke into his home. During the confrontation, he sustained a stab wound to his hand, a neck injury, and additional scratches as he fought back against the attackers.

It is currently uncertain whether the criminals successfully made off with any valuables, including jewelry or high-end watches that Al-Hawasi is known to display on his social media accounts.

Al-Hawasi's legal team has urged the Metropolitan Police to provide more information on the suspects involved, highlighting that other individuals visiting from the Arabian Gulf are now anxious for their safety in light of this incident.

Law enforcement officials have confirmed that Al-Hawasi's injuries are not life-threatening and stated that an investigation is underway.

In a message shared on social media, Al-Hawasi's sister, Khawla Mubarak Al- Hasawi, conveyed that “Fawaz is fine, by God’s grace. May God protect him from all harm and bless him with the safety of his son, Abdulaziz.”

Previously, Al-Hawasi owned Nottingham Forest, a tenure that began in 2012 and ended in 2017, when he sold the club to Evangelos Marinakis. His ownership was marked by considerable changes in management, with the club appointing nine different managers over five years.

This incident occurs amid a rise in high-profile burglary cases. Notably, television presenter Maya Jama and Manchester City player Ruben Dias were recently victims of a burglary while both were away from their luxurious Cheshire residence. Reports indicate that significant amounts of designer clothing, jewels, and electronic gadgets were stolen during that incident.

In another case, Melanie Hamrick, the fiancée of Mick Jagger, the lead singer of the Rolling Stones, reported being physically assaulted during an outing at Annabel's private members’ club in Mayfair. On her Instagram, she expressed her gratitude to friends who intervened during the incident, stating: “This is incredibly hard to share, but I was physically attacked at Annabel’s Mayfair tonight. I’m so thankful to my friends for protecting me. Two people grabbed me from behind, and thank god for good people who stepped in to help me.”

She went on to express her distress, saying: “I’m shaken, sad and heartbroken that people can treat each other this way.” Law enforcement is investigating these various incidents.
