Authorities in Thailand apprehended four Buddhist monks after a police operation at their temple unveiled a collection of explicit materials, sex toys, a penis pump, and a list of escort contacts.

The monks are accused of undermining their monastic vows by retaining these illicit items at the Phrom Sunthon Monastery in Chonburi province.

The raid occurred on January 27, triggered by allegations that the monks were in possession of firearms and narcotics.

He remarked, "The three monks deemed to be involved with drug use will be referred to law enforcement and appropriate agencies for clinical rehabilitation.

"The abbot will face police questioning before being deported back to his home country."

One monk, Supachai, claimed he had been using meth for approximately three years as a means of managing bodily pain associated with diabetes and hypertension, stating, "It's for alleviating nerve pain. In moments of severe discomfort, I resort to these medications but solely for intense pain relief."

The authorities confirmed that the trio implicated in drug use will enter rehabilitation programs, while the abbot has been turned over to immigration authorities for further inquiry.
