Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have successfully located and rescued a six-year-old boy named Mohammed Jabir. The child had been kidnapped from Gyada Village, located in Talase, within the Balanga Local Government Area of Gombe State.
Investigations revealed that the abduction was carried out by a suspect identified as Salisu Hussain. Hussain reportedly deceived the boy by offering to teach him how to ride a motorcycle, a ploy that led to Mohammed's disappearance.
Following the report of the kidnapping, DSS operatives initiated a swift operation, which culminated in the safe recovery of the young boy. The agency also confirmed the arrest of the individual responsible for the abduction.
A source indicated that the DSS responded promptly to the reported incident, leading to the successful rescue of the child and the apprehension of the kidnapper.
Upon the safe return of Mohammed to his parents, the family expressed their profound gratitude to the DSS for their timely intervention and the successful reunion with their son.
The suspect is presently in the custody of the DSS and is expected to face legal proceedings in court in the near future.
