Gombe State Governor Commits to Enhancing Security Measures

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has reiterated his administration's commitment to prioritizing the safety of lives and property, stating that security is the foremost agenda of his government.

The governor made this declaration while welcoming the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, during the traditional Sallah visit to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr at the Government House.

Yahaya emphasized that his government would continue to enhance strategies that foster peace and stability throughout the state, underscoring the essential role of security in development.

He encouraged the citizens to maintain the spirit of unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence demonstrated throughout the Ramadan period.

The governor expressed gratitude to the Emir for his ongoing support, prayers, and guidance, noting the significance of the collaborative relationship between his administration and the traditional institution in achieving progress thus far.

“Our partnership with the traditional institution, particularly with the Emir of Gombe, has been harmonious and fruitful. The encouragement and unity we receive have significantly aided in the peace and development of our state,” he remarked.

Reflecting on his administration's progress over the past seven years, Yahaya pointed out that a strong foundation for sustainable growth has been established, with significant achievements in sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, and economic reforms.

Earlier, the Emir acknowledged the governor's leadership and developmental initiatives across various sectors, highlighting that the governor had met and even exceeded the promises made to the people at the onset of his tenure. The Emir also praised the government for its efforts to foster peace, unity, and inclusive governance.
