Gospel artiste Amaka Gift, who recently tied the knot, has opened up about meeting her husband. She disclosed that their connection began on Facebook at a time when she was reportedly enduring significant online criticism.
This revelation follows an earlier accusation from her alleged former fiancé and manager, Favour Ibex, who claimed Amaka had ended their relationship to be with someone else after he had supported her career for nine years.
In August 2023, Mr. Ibex detailed on Facebook how he met Amaka in her church choir. He stated they dated for three years before he started mentoring her in music in 2017. He also mentioned that they were betrothed, with blessings from both families, but kept their engagement private to safeguard her burgeoning gospel career and education.
However, Amaka, in a Facebook post on Monday, April 6, 2026, shared photos with her new husband. She recounted how he remained steadfastly by her side during the difficult period and was determined to marry her regardless of the circumstances.
"Now my testimony. ooooh God!!! What if I tell you people that I met my husband on this blue app when people were roasting me on this space Kaii," she wrote.
She further shared his supportive words: "This man still kwechiri!! He said something that shocked me!!! kaai. 'Amaka you are my wife and I’m not giving up on you whether you’re ready or not.'"
The singer expressed her gratitude for her husband's unwavering support and commitment, which began during what she described as a challenging time on social media.
