Governor Uba Sani has reaffirmed that the envisioned $200 million Mega Poultry Project is projected to produce an annual revenue exceeding $450 million while generating more than 350,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities within Kaduna State.
Additionally, the governor highlighted that this initiative aims to enhance food security, empower local farmers, and establish Kaduna State as a prominent center for contemporary agribusiness in Africa.
Mr. Sani made this statement during a meeting with the Minister of Livestock Development, Idi Maiha, on Thursday, where they coordinated both federal and state efforts in anticipation of the project's launch.
The governor expressed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for selecting Kaduna to spearhead this pivotal initiative.
In a previous visit to China on December 7, 2025, invited by the Chinese government, the governor explored CP Foods Layers and Eggs (Beijing) Ltd. During this tour, he reviewed their operations, which encompass production, processing, packaging, and distribution, all characterized by a meticulous approach that elevates agriculture to an art form.
Sani noted that observing a facility capable of manufacturing nearly three million eggs daily was a significant step towards finalizing the landmark $200 million poultry venture in Kaduna State.
“With our collaboration with Chinese partners, we are developing a project that entails far more than just increasing production. It will significantly bolster food security, expand our agro-industrial base, create sustainable employment, and position Kaduna as a leader in technologically advanced agribusiness on the continent.”
