A coalition of constituents, operating under the Ifo Lokan 2027 MHR Movement, has decisively rejected the fourth term aspirations of Hon Ibrahim Isiaka, a sitting member of the House of Representatives representing Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency in Ogun State, stating that "the time has come for fairness, equity, and justice to prevail."

Hon Isiaka currently holds the position of Deputy Chief Whip in the House of Representatives.

The spokesperson for the group, Hon Femi Akala, made the declaration at the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat located in Abeokuta. He led a significant number of constituents to formally submit a petition to the leadership of the party.

The petition, directed to Yemi Sanusi, the Ogun State Chairman of the APC, was officially received by Segun Bankole, the party's Administrative Secretary.

The movement articulated its stance on the issue of political zoning, insisting that 4 the 2027 House of Representatives seat for the Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency be allocated to Ifo Local Government.

The constituents firmly opposed any extension of the incumbent’s mandate, arguing that doing so would contradict the principles of inclusion, equity, and justice that the party stands for.

They clarified that their position is not an aggressive confrontation but rather a call for fairness and inclusiveness in the party's decisions.

Providing historical context, the group pointed out, "Since 1999, Ewekoro Local Government has held the representation for sixteen years, whereas Ifo Local Government has had representation for twelve years."

This historical imbalance, they claimed, highlights the necessity for a fair rotational system between the two Local Governments.

The group referenced party regulations by stating, "Our appeal aligns with Article 20 of the APC Constitution, which emphasizes fairness, equity, and opportunity distribution within the party."

They cautioned against overlooking requests for a power shift.

Akala remarked, "Zoning the seat to Ifo will not weaken the partnership between the two Local Governments; instead, it will enhance trust, solidify party unity, and maintain long-lasting cohesion within the constituency."

He concluded, "We present this request with profound respect, recognizing your wisdom and leadership. The voices from Ifo are not expressions of dissent but expressions of hope that the party’s enduring principles of fairness and inclusiveness will influence its decisions as we move towards the 2027 elections."

"We once again congratulate you on your re-election and reaffirm our loyalty and commitment to constructive engagement for the benefit of our great party."
