Iran has issued a grave warning to the United States as reports of possible ground operations emerge, coinciding with the deployment of more American troops into the Middle East.

In a recent video address, Iranian military spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaqari took aim at U.S. leadership, cautioning against severe consequences.

He stated, "Regrettably, the leaders of the United States have entrusted the command of armed forces to an individual whose unhinged and perilous decisions have plunged the U.S. military into a swamp of death."

This caution arrives as the Pentagon is believed to be contemplating limited ground operations utilizing special forces and regular troops, yet not intending a full-scale invasion.

In response to these developments, Donald Trump has not sanctioned any such initiatives and has openly rejected the idea of troop deployments, asserting, "I’m not sending troops anywhere. If I were, I wouldn't disclose it, but I’m not sending troops."

Nevertheless, around 3,500 additional U.S. personnel have been deployed to the region, as part of a unit from the USS Tripoli (LHA-7).

Iranian officials have underscored their readiness for military action, with Parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stating:

"Our armed forces are prepared for the arrival of U.S. troops on the ground to launch attacks and punish their local allies decisively. We are ready to fire our missiles. Our determination and resolve have strengthened."

These warnings follow recent attacks within Tehran that reportedly damaged infrastructure, including a power pylon, resulting in power outages in various neighborhoods of the capital. Iran has also intensified its rhetoric by cautioning against targeting U.S.-affiliated institutions in the region, including educational facilities, as retaliation for assaults on its assets.

Furthermore, attention has shifted to Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf, a vital strategic hub for a significant portion of Iran’s crude oil exports, amid growing speculation regarding potential targets for any forthcoming operations. While military strategies are being formulated, officials in Washington have noted that no definitive decision has been made regarding ground actions, which are still under review.
