Israel has declared that it carried out a targeted operation resulting in the death of Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib during the night.
Israel’s Defence Minister, Israel Katz, confirmed the elimination of Khatib on Wednesday, although Iranian authorities have not yet verified the claim.
This incident occurs against a backdrop of heightened tensions between Iran and Israel, with both nations increasingly confronting each other amidst ongoing regional instability.
Katz further revealed that he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have authorized the military to carry out additional strikes on high-ranking Iranian officials without needing prior approvals, indicating a shift toward a more aggressive military stance.
This directive suggests an intensified strategy to undermine Iran's leadership as the two countries continue to grapple with escalating conflicts.
