Kebbi Court Sentences Man to Life in Prison for Sodomizing 10-Year-Old Boy

A High Court located in Kebbi State has handed down a life sentence to Suleman Jidda, a 30-year-old resident of the Bayan Kara district in Birnin Kebbi, for committing an unnatural act against a 10-year-old boy.

Jidda faced charges on November 8, 2024, for violating Section 260 of the Kebbi State Penal Code Law, 2021, in a single-count accusation of an unnatural offense.

During the ruling delivered on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, Justice Shamsudeen Jafar affirmed that the prosecution successfully demonstrated its case beyond reasonable doubt.

In his remarks, the judge stated, "I have meticulously reviewed all evidence presented in court and found the prosecution's testimonies credible and substantiated.

The elements required to establish the offense have been conclusively proven," he declared.

As a result, the court found Jidda guilty and sentenced him to a term of life imprisonment.
