The Kebbi State Government has officially launched a new secretariat complex in Gwadangaji, which is equipped to accommodate a workforce of 25,000 civil servants.

The facility was inaugurated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and its construction was completed during the tenure of Governor Nasir Idris. The opening of the complex marks a significant step in enhancing civil service operations in the state.

Top state officials, including the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, and the Head of Service, TPL Malami Muhammad Shekare, led the move to the new facility, symbolizing the start of full operations in the complex.

Upon settling into his office, SSG Tafida emphasized the need for a robust maintenance culture to safeguard the investment and ensure adequate security and essential services for efficient administration.

In his address, Shekare highlighted that all necessary administrative systems would be put in place to oversee official affairs within the secretariat. He urged civil servants to respond to the governor’s initiative by exhibiting renewed dedication, discipline, and punctuality in their work.

Engr. Manir Musa, the Chief Executive Officer of MTech Construction Company, referred to the project as a monumental achievement and expressed pride in the successful completion of the construction.
