Keke Palmer firmly stated that she has no intention of living with a romantic partner, regardless of marital status.
The actress, who has a 2-year-old son, Leodis, with her former partner Darius Jackson, shared her perspective during an appearance on Today. She emphasized the importance of her alone time, referencing Whoopi Goldberg’s notable quote: "I don’t want nobody in my house."
She is, however, willing to explore a compromise by suggesting they could live on the same property but in distinct spaces. "You can reside in the guest house. We can share the same land, but I’ll be over there, and he’ll be over there,” she proposed, mentioning that ideally, it would be just separate rooms.
Palmer believes that maintaining separate living arrangements keeps a relationship vibrant and appealing. She remarked, "Just think about how exciting it would be to say, ‘I’m going to my man’s house.’ He’d probably create a mess at my place if he spent the night, so I want to go relax on his couch,” she noted.
Her son remains her top priority. Palmer explained that effective parenting requires attention and responsibility, and having her own space allows her to "be the best me" for him.
