Lucas Hernandez, a defender for PSG, along with his partner, has been accused of serious offenses involving human trafficking and labor exploitation by a Colombian family of five.

The left-back, who was part of the French team that won the World Cup in 2018, is alleged to have brought the family to work as his security team and caregivers from September 2024 to November 2025.

According to the family's legal representative, Lola Dubois, Hernandez, 29, and his partner Victoria Triay hired the family without the necessary legal documents, requiring them to work up to 82 hours a week without any days off.

Both Hernandez and Triay have categorically denied the accusations, claiming they feel 'betrayed'.

The daughter of the Colombian family recounted that she was approached by Triay while she was a nurse in Colombia. Triay allegedly promised her a job alongside official documentation that would allow her to work legally within six months.

However, the daughter, later joined by her family members, stated that they never received this documentation and endured strenuous working conditions with inadequate compensation.

Lawyer Dubois stated, 'An entire family is deprived of its rights. Without employment contracts, they are not entitled to unemployment benefits or appropriate social security coverage.'

She added, 'This is a professional football player, surrounded by numerous lawyers, both in his personal and professional life. The lack of an employment contract reflects the intent behind the offense.'

Reports indicate the family was paid in cash and, after signing confidentiality agreements in February 2025, they received fraudulent identity cards.

Dubois mentioned that the family was later offered legitimate employment contracts by Hernandez in October last year, following a dispute between the daughter and Triay.

'These contracts seemed hastily prepared to justify the situation, stating they were part-time, multi-skilled workers,' Dubois remarked.

The contracts supposedly indicated the family worked approximately 86 hours monthly for a gross monthly compensation of €1,029 (£896).

The daughter also claimed that the family 'risked our lives' for Hernandez and Triay, particularly during an attempted burglary at the footballer's residence in December 2024 when the family’s father reportedly shot a weapon to scare off the intruders.

An agent for Hernandez conveyed to Paris Match that he and Triay were 'completely shocked' by the allegations.

In a formal statement, the couple expressed, 'We opened our home and lives to individuals who claimed to be friends in need of our kindness, whom we genuinely cared for. These people lived with us respectfully and with dignity.

'We assisted them, showed support, and trusted that they were working on regularizing their circumstances. Our trust has been compromised.'

They lamented, 'Unfortunately, we are not the first to face such a situation. Just like many before us, we were deceived by emotional narratives and false promises. We never intended to act maliciously or disrespect the law. We acted out of humanity only to find ourselves exploited.

'It is particularly painful to witness what was once a gesture of trust and humanity turn into public allegations and hostilities. This ordeal has caused deep distress for our family.

'This situation is now being handled through the proper legal channels, where the focus should remain on the facts rather than the circulating narratives on social media. We urge for decency, restraint, and respect. We will refrain from engaging further in online debates.'

The Versailles prosecutor’s office is currently reviewing the claims.
