Malam Dahiru Shekarau Passes Away

Malam Dahiru Shekarau, who was the elder brother of former Kano State Governor Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, has passed away.

His death took place on Tuesday at a private hospital in Kano following a prolonged illness.

The late Shekarau served as a Permanent Secretary within the Kano State Civil Service.

Throughout his career in civil service, he held various positions in different ministries, eventually reaching the role of Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Science and Technology.

He retired from active service in 2015, marking the end of a notable career in public service.

The funeral prayers for the late Shekarau are scheduled to take place at Giginyu Jumu’at Mosque, located in the Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano, on Wednesday.

Family members, friends, and sympathizers are expected to attend the Janazah prayer to pay their final respects.
