Michael Ogungbemi, a 41-year-old resident of Edo State, has been arrested by the Edo State Security Corps (ESSC) under grave accusations of raping his 13-year-old stepdaughter and her school friend, also aged 13.

This distressing situation unfolded in the Ogbegun community, located within the Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of Edo State.

Reports indicate that Ogungbemi allegedly subjected his stepdaughter to repeated sexual assaults while her mother was away at work, often manipulating situations by sending her younger siblings on errands to facilitate his actions.

Furthermore, it has come to light that he encouraged his stepdaughter to invite her friend over to their home, where he also reportedly assaulted the friend after several prior attempts.

Both victims were allegedly threatened with death should they confide in anyone about the abuse.

The situation escalated when the friend began feeling unwell at school. A concerned teacher rushed her to her parents, who then took her to the hospital for medical attention.

Upon examination, medical professionals discovered she had developed an infection.

After being pressed for details, the young girl revealed that Ogungbemi had engaged in sexual activities with both her and his stepdaughter.

In response to the revelations, the parents contacted the Edo State Security Corps, who acted swiftly to apprehend the suspect.

Upon arrest, Ogungbemi reportedly confessed to the allegations, attributing his behavior to demonic influences.

Richard Balogun, the Corps Deputy Commander, confirmed the arrest, stating that it followed a tip-off. Ogungbemi has since been handed over to the police for further legal action.
