NDLEA Takes Down Three Cannabis Farms in Edo State

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has successfully demolished three cannabis farms in Edo State as part of its ongoing initiative to combat illegal drug cultivation and trafficking.

In its continuous campaign against illicit drug activities, the Edo State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) recently destroyed three cannabis farms within the state.

According to the NDLEA State Commander, Mitchell Ofoyeju, the total area of the destroyed farms was approximately 0.506739 hectares, with a potential yield estimated at 1,266.85 kilograms.

Ofoyeju also mentioned during an interaction with reporters that the agency's Drug Demand Reduction Department has provided counseling to 28 clients, who have now been reunited with their families.

Additionally, he stated that 11 individuals are currently undergoing rehabilitation, highlighting the effectiveness of the agency's drug prevention strategies.

Ofoyeju emphasized the agency's unwavering commitment to dismantling drug trafficking organizations and ensuring a safer, drug-free environment for all citizens.
