The Rivers State House of Assembly has disclosed nine nominated commissioners submitted by Governor Siminalayi Fubara, who are set to be screened and confirmed for the State Executive Council.
The nominations were announced during a session of the House on Tuesday, with the Assembly Clerk, Emeka Amadi, instructing the nominees to provide 40 copies of their curriculum vitae along with photocopies of their credentials before the screening process takes place.
The nominees include: Professor Datonye Alasia, Mr. Tonye Bellgam, Professor Temple Nwofor, Dr. Peters Nwagor, Mrs. Charity Deemua, Tamuno Williams, Esq., Mr. Lekue Kenneth, Otonye T.K.D. Amachree, Esq., and Sir Amairigha Edward Hart.
Amadi stated: "The Rivers State House of Assembly hereby invites nominees for appointment as commissioners and members of the Rivers State Executive Council to submit forty (40) sets of their curriculum vitae (CV), photocopies of credentials and evidence of compliance with tax obligations.
"All documentation should be sent to the Office of the Clerk of the House at the Rivers State House of Assembly Quarters."
In a related development, Governor Fubara had dissolved the State Executive Council last month amidst a political dispute involving him and the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike.
This dissolution occurred following an intervention by President Bola Tinubu aimed at resolving the conflict between the two politicians.
