NYSC Member's Sister Recounts Alleged Soldier Attack and Fatal Shooting in Abuja

A sister to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member who was recently shot in Abuja has come forward with her account of the events.

In a video statement, she asserted that military personnel scaled their compound fence while in pursuit of alleged thieves. According to her narrative, the soldiers proceeded directly to her brother's room and discharged their firearms at him twice without any apparent provocation.

The sister further alleged that following the incident, the soldiers proceeded to clean up bloodstains within the residence. She claims they subsequently referred to the lethal shooting as a "mistake."

This account emerges subsequent to confirmation from the Nigerian Army regarding the death of an NYSC member in Abuja during an encounter that reportedly involved armed robbers.
