Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has announced the immediate termination of all political aides as a strategy to better align his administration for enhanced performance and service delivery.
This action impacts all Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) within his government.
The announcement was made on Monday through a statement from the Governor's Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan.
Governor Aiyedatiwa conveyed his gratitude to the outgoing aides for their services and contributions to the development of Ondo State, wishing them well in their future endeavors.
In a related development, the governor revealed plans to appoint around 1,000 new political aides in the near future.
These new appointments are set to be sourced from the 203 wards across the 18 local government areas within the state.
According to the statement, these forthcoming appointments aim to enhance grassroots participation, improve administrative coordination, and bring in fresh perspectives to the governance framework.
