Pastor and Cultist Arrested Over Alleged Murder Plot Against Prophet

Authorities in Bayelsa State have detained two individuals, including a pastor, suspected of conspiring to kill a prophet. The arrests were made following an investigation by the police's Special Weapons and Tactics Unit.

The Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Unit of the Bayelsa State Police Command has apprehended two suspects, Samuel Daniel, a 21-year-old male from the Nembe Ogbolomabiri Community in Nembe Local Government Area, and Pastor Elijah Oro, a 59-year-old from Ozoro Community in Delta State. Both are alleged to have been involved in a conspiracy to kill a prophet, whose identity has not been disclosed.

DSP Musa Mohammed, spokesperson for the police command, confirmed to reporters that initial investigations indicated that Samuel Daniel was caught on the prophet's premises and confessed to being affiliated with the Greenlanders Confraternity. He is purported to have been hired by Pastor Elijah Oro to eliminate the prophet.

Ongoing investigations are focused on uncovering the reasons behind this alleged assassination attempt.
