On Monday, top officials of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) made their way to Kano as they prepare for the anticipated defection of former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to their party.
The group, featuring notable political figures, was greeted at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport by Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, who recently completed his term as Deputy Governor of Kano State.
Included in the delegation were influential leaders such as the former Senate President and ADC National Chairman, David Mark; Rauf Aregbesola, ADC National Secretary and ex-Minister of Interior; and Peter Obi, the former Governor of Anambra State.
Other prominent attendees comprised Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, the former Governor of Sokoto State; Rotimi Amaechi, a former Minister of Transportation; Senator Dino Melaye; former APC National Chairman John Odigie-Oyegun; and Emeka Ihedioha, the former Governor of Imo State.
Following their arrival, the visiting politicians proceeded to Kwankwaso's residence on Miller Road in Kano, where they finalized arrangements for his official joining of the ADC.
This development suggests a significant shift in the political landscape ahead of the upcoming elections as key opposition figures gather in Kano for this notable event.
