Based on credible intelligence, the CP explained that two suspects were initially arrested in Warri. Their admissions led to the capture of the remaining six individuals linked to the group.

During the investigation, the suspects reportedly admitted to being affiliated with the Supreme Vikings Confraternity and acknowledged their involvement in the murder of a man named Alex Adanike on January 15, 2026, in the Iwhrekpokpo region of Ughelli North Local Government Area.
