Reno Omokri, who has been appointed as an ambassador, has expressed his disapproval of Peter Obi and other politicians advocating for the real-time transmission of electoral results.
In a video that has gained attention across social media platforms, Omokri remarked that if Obi's bank is unable to ensure real-time transactions for its customers, it raises questions about how the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) can achieve the same for an election involving over 200 million Nigerians.
He stated, 'I urge the citizens of Nigeria to verify what I'm about to share. Last year, Obi's bank received numerous complaints from customers regarding their inability to access the bank's app for real-time transactions, with issues of money transfers not arriving at their destinations instantly and reversals not occurring as they should. Even access to USSD services was problematic. Despite these significant service failures, Obi went to the National Assembly to protest for INEC to guarantee real-time election results.'
He continued, 'If your own financial institution, which claims to possess some of the best internet services in Africa, struggles to ensure real-time money transfers for 10 million users, how can you expect INEC to provide real-time updates for 100 million registered voters in Nigeria?'
