Winnie Miller, a young woman who alleged that the chairman of Ahoada Local Government Area in Rivers State, Cheta Epelle, orchestrated an assault against her, has declared her rejection of N2.5 million sent to her bank account. Miller stated that the funds were offered as a bribe and compensation following her public exposure of the severe dilapidation at Community Secondary School, Odioku.

In a recent social media post, Miller asserted that she cannot be swayed by financial inducements and did not consent to any form of compensation. She further detailed her attempts to return the money, citing persistent network issues at her bank as an obstacle to completing the transaction.

The incident reportedly began after Miller shared a video showcasing the abysmal state of the secondary school located in her community. She claims that the chairman subsequently led a group of individuals to physically assault her as a consequence of her online post.
