The Police Command in Bauchi State has detained a security guard on charges of sexually assaulting two minors, aged four and five.
The police spokesperson, SP Nafiu Habib, made this announcement in a statement issued on Sunday, March 8, 2028.
In his statement, the Public Relations Officer shared that the accused, identified as Kamaluddeen Aliyu, allegedly enticed the young girls into a security room at different times where he proceeded to assault them.
The incident came to light when a 30-year-old mother filed a report at the 'B' Division Police Headquarters on February 23, 2026, claiming that Kamaluddeen Aliyu, a 24-year-old guard employed by Al-Ansar Security Limited, had lured her daughters into a designated security area at Tsohon Company and engaged in unlawful sexual acts with them on separate occasions.
Both victims, along with the suspect, were taken to the Police Clinic to undergo medical examinations.
The Commissioner of Police has instructed the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) to escalate the case to the Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) Unit for a comprehensive investigation.
