Shiite Group Protests Alleged Iran Leader's Death in Nigeria, Other National Issues Highlighted

Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) organized demonstrations in Lagos, Kano, and Sokoto, reacting to claims that Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had died following joint US and Israeli military actions.

The protestors voiced their condemnation of the United States and Israel and called for Nigeria to adopt a definitive stance on the matter. Significant police presence was noted in certain areas of Sokoto during the protests.
