Support Group for Mbah's Reelection Launches Ward Coordinators in Igbo-Eze South

The Tomorrow Is Here Movement, which backs the reelection of Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, has inaugurated ward coordinators in Igbo-Eze South. The event, attended by various dignitaries, emphasized the group’s commitment to Mbah's administration.

The Tomorrow Is Here Movement, a support organization advocating for the reelection of Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, successfully inaugurated its ward coordinators in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area on March 20. Tony Okonkwo, the national president of the group, led the ceremony in Igbo-Eze South.

During the event, Mr. Okonkwo commended Governor Mbah for his visionary initiatives, which include the establishment of Enugu Air, enhancements to the International Conference Centre in Enugu, and the revitalization of the Hotel Presidential.

He highlighted the construction of Smart Schools across all 260 wards in the state, along with the development of Type-3 primary healthcare centers in each ward.

Mr. Okonkwo also mentioned the reopening of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, aiming to establish Enugu as the aviation hub of the southeastern region alongside other revived projects.

Ugo Ferdinand Ukwueze, the chairman of Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area, welcomed Mr. Okonkwo and other notable guests, stating that the gathering reaffirmed the unwavering support of Igbo-Eze South's leaders and residents for Governor Mbah’s administration.

In his remarks, Ukwueze emphasized the community's allegiance lies firmly in the observable and significant advancements that have been reshaping the local government. He noted, “Our people are discerning and attentive to performance, and His Excellency has shown a steadfast commitment to inclusive governance, particularly by investing strategically in education and youth development.”

He added, “Igbo-Eze South is proud to play a vital role as a facilitator of the Tomorrow Is Here Movement’s objectives. We are unwavering in our dedication to supporting the current transformative leadership through 2027 and beyond.”

Ukwueze commended the leadership of the Movement for its foresight and direction, calling it both timely and visionary, and tasked the newly inaugurated coordinators with approaching their roles with dedication and a sense of duty to the people.

He expressed confidence that they would exceed expectations and justify the trust placed in them. The event was attended by dignitaries including Ezenta Ezeani, the Movement’s National Vice President and Deputy Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, as well as various board members and state executive committee members.
