Elements of the 29 Task Force Brigade, working alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have taken a person believed to be involved in kidnapping into custody. The arrest occurred at the Benisheikh market, located in the Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State.
The suspect, identified as Chari Modu, was apprehended on March 30, 2026, at approximately 4:45 p.m. This action was a result of reliable human intelligence received by the security forces, according to reports from Friday, April 3.
During the operation, security personnel recovered one AK-47 rifle, which bore the registration number 5657218, along with an ammunition magazine. A sum of N4,500 was also found in the suspect's possession.
The individual apprehended, along with the recovered items, has been transferred to the relevant authorities for further investigation and subsequent actions.
