Authorities have initiated a murder investigation following the death of a 19-year-old man in Whitstable, Kent, early on Good Friday. The young man sustained stab wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A murder inquiry has been launched by UK police after a 19-year-old individual tragically died from suspected stab wounds in a coastal town on Good Friday.

Kent Police responded to reports of a severe assault on Belmont Road in Whitstable during the early hours of Friday. Emergency services, arriving alongside law enforcement, discovered a man with injuries consistent with stab wounds.

An air ambulance was deployed to the location, landing in the vicinity of Westmeads Recreation Ground around 3 AM. Despite the immediate medical attention provided by emergency personnel, the 19-year-old victim was declared dead at the scene.

Investigators have since established a forensic tent adjacent to flats on Belmont Road. The road is anticipated to remain closed for an extended period to facilitate ongoing investigations.

A spokesperson for Kent Police stated, "Kent Police was called at 2.04 am on Friday, April 3, 2026, to reports of a serious assault on Belmont Road, Whitstable. Officers and paramedics attended, and a 19-year-old boy sustained injuries consistent with stab wounds. He was confirmed deceased at the scene."
