Vice-President Kashim Shettima offered reassurance to Nigerians on Sunday, asserting that the country's present difficulties are temporary and that brighter days lie ahead, guided by President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.

Shettima shared this Easter message through his spokesperson, Mr. Stanley Nkwocha, in Abuja. He reaffirmed the administration's dedication to fostering peace, economic recovery, and long-term prosperity, acknowledging that the journey towards national renewal often demands sacrifice and collective determination.

The vice-president expressed strong confidence in Nigeria's ability to surmount its current economic and security challenges. He highlighted that despite enduring significant hardships, the nation has consistently demonstrated resilience, never allowing adversity to define its trajectory.

"I remain confident that by our collective will, shared sacrifice, and abiding faith in the promise of this nation, we shall triumph over whatever challenges beset us momentarily," Shettima stated.

He appealed to Nigerians for unity and continued support for the reforms being implemented by the Tinubu administration, emphasizing that national progress hinges on patience, endurance, and a unified purpose.

Furthermore, Shettima called on citizens to reject divisive forces and embrace the values that unite them, recognizing Nigeria's diverse populace as one of its most significant strengths.

Reflecting on the significance of Easter, the vice-president drew parallels between the Christian message of sacrifice, hope, and resurrection and the nation's situation, suggesting that periods of hardship are not perpetual.

He described Easter as a symbol of hope's victory over despair and light's triumph over darkness.

"Easter is a reminder that history often bends in favour of those who refuse to surrender to despair. It is the story of light piercing through darkness, of hope rising from the shadows of pain and of faith prevailing over fear," he concluded. (NAN)
