The final resting place of the well-known Nigerian gospel singer, Bunmi Adeoye Akinnanu, better known for her single "Omije Ojumi," has been set at Atan cemetery in Lagos following her passing on January 1. Her burial took place on January 28.

However, the ceremony was marred by an unforeseen commotion at her gravesite involving the relatives of her estranged husband and her children.

Reports indicate that the estranged husband, currently residing in the United States, sought to have a conversation with their children near the burial site. This request was met with resistance from the family of the deceased, who maintained that he has been absent from the children's lives and that the burial site was not the appropriate venue for such interactions during their time of mourning.

Tempers flared, leading to a heated exchange between the sister of the estranged husband and the late artist's son, with the aunt declaring that he was part of their family and expressing their love for him.

"We are your family and we love you! Your father loved you! Your father loves you! and I love you!" she was overheard shouting.

In response, the grieving son vehemently denied this sentiment, exclaiming, "I am not. I am not!" as family members attempted to hold him back and soothe his distress.

Videos capturing the incident are available below.
