Operatives from the Maiduguri Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have detained three individuals under suspicion of illegal gold mining activities in Borno State.

The suspects were caught in Mallam Jakwa Town within the Hawul Local Government Area of Borno State, following actionable intelligence regarding their illicit operations.
