Last week, Taiwo Oyedele received confirmation from the Senate following his nomination by President Tinubu.

Oyedele arrived at the Presidential Villa earlier in the day, accompanied by his wife, ahead of the ceremony.

On March 3, President Tinubu had sent Oyedele's nomination to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, requesting his confirmation in accordance with Section 147(2) of the 1999 Constitution.

Prior to his new role, Oyedele served as the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, where he led efforts to revamp Nigeria's tax system.

He takes over the position from Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, who has been reassigned to the Ministry of Budget and National Planning as Minister of State, marking her third role since her appointment as a minister by President Tinubu.
