President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on Muslim leaders to utilize the Eid- el-Fitr celebrations to offer prayers for peace and prosperity in Nigeria.
In the President’s message for the festive occasion, which was released by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, he reflected on the worldwide celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the conclusion of Ramadan, and urged for a renewed dedication to both the country and humanity.
Tinubu encouraged Nigerian Muslims to reaffirm their commitment to the virtuous principles exemplified during the holy month, including piety, empathy, and unity among individuals.
He stated, “We have a plethora of lessons to take from the noble teachings of Ramadan, especially during these trying times. It is imperative to continue embodying the virtues of piety, selflessness, perseverance, kindness, and compassion beyond this season.”
The President further urged all Muslims to extend help to the less fortunate across all faiths to foster unity and solidarity.
Additionally, he prompted Muslim leaders to pray for Nigeria’s peace and prosperity during this festive period.
