President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the former Governor of Kaduna State, following the demise of his mother, Hajiya Umma, who succumbed to illness in Cairo, Egypt.
Bayo Onanuga, the President's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, released a statement highlighting the late Hajiya Umma's remarkable life and her contributions to her family and the nation as a whole.
The statement included a personal message to El-Rufai: "Nasir, please accept my sincere condolences on the death of your beloved mother, Hajiya Umma, which occurred today in Cairo. Having lost an elderly mother myself, I share in your sorrow and can relate to the depth of your loss."
"Losing a mother brings a unique pain. While words may offer little relief, I hope that fond memories of her love, wisdom, and guidance will provide you solace in the days ahead. Additionally, I wish you strength drawn from her remarkable life and the values she imparted to your entire family."
The statement continued, expressing faith in Allah, emphasizing that she fulfilled her role as intended by the Creator and has now returned to her Maker. "I join you in mourning with family, friends, and well-wishers. May Allah grant your dear mother Aljannah Firdaus," it concluded.
