Two Individuals Held Over Alleged Theft of N2.1 Million in Vehicle Parts

The Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court has ordered the remand of two accused individuals, Sogo Egbebi and Husamotu Jubril, over the theft of vehicle parts worth N2.1 million. The defendants pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy and theft.

An Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court has remanded two men, Sogo Egbebi, 19, and Husamotu Jubril, 30, in a correctional facility following allegations of stealing vehicle components valued at N2.1 million.

The men, whose addresses have not been disclosed, admitted guilt to a two- count charge of conspiracy and theft.

Magistrate O.A. Ogbe ordered their detention at the correctional center until March 5, when the court will review the evidence and pass sentence.

The prosecution, led by Inspector Adegeshin Famiyiwa, disclosed to the court that the accused committed the alleged crimes between August 2025 and January 2026, at Sholaja Street, located in the Itamaga neighborhood of Ikorodu, Lagos.

The charges involve the theft of 33 alternators valued at N1.5 million along with 40 kick starters worth N594,000, property belonging to the complainant, Mr. Jelili Saka.

The offences were reported to contravene Sections 287(7) and 412 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
