United States President Donald Trump has declared that any country found to be supplying Iran with military weapons will be subjected to a 50% tariff on all goods destined for the U.S. market, with no exceptions.

The announcement was made by the President on his Truth Social media account on Wednesday, April 8, shortly after a ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran was reportedly finalized.

In his post, Trump stated, “A country supplying military weapons to Iran will be immediately tariffed on any and all goods sold to the United States of America, 50%, effective immediately. There will be no exclusions or exemptions!”

Further elaborating on the situation, Trump also commented on Wednesday regarding Iran's uranium enrichment activities, asserting that there would be no such enrichment. He indicated that both countries would cooperate to remove nuclear materials that were supposedly buried following U.S. strikes the previous year.

Trump posted on Truth Social, hours after declaring a two-week ceasefire in the Middle East conflict, “The United States will work closely with Iran, which we have determined has gone through what will be a very productive Regime Change!”

He added, “There will be no enrichment of Uranium, and the United States will, working with Iran, dig up and remove all of the deeply buried (B-2 Bombers) Nuclear ‘Dust,'” apparently referencing the aftermath of U.S. military actions against Iran's nuclear facilities last year.
