The head coach of Wikki Tourists FC, Abdul Maikaba, has officially announced his resignation from the club.

In a letter dated February 9, 2026, addressed to the club’s chairman, Maikaba expressed that his choice was prompted by internal discord among stakeholders as well as life threats that had hindered his ability to fulfill the team's goals.

In the letter, he stated, "I would like to take this opportunity to inform the management of Wikki Tourists FC about my decision to resign from my position as technical adviser of the club, effective immediately."

Maikaba elaborated further, saying, "Throughout my time in this role, I have faced numerous threats to my safety from certain fans, through both physical confrontations and social media. Due to these circumstances, I felt compelled to resign after discussing it with my family."

He also took the chance to extend his gratitude to the management for the opportunity to serve at the club, expressing a hope that his resignation would be accepted.
