Regrettably, two of the hostages, Bashir Sani Marafa, 45, and Halliru Kabiru, 50, were killed during their captivity, as reported by security analyst Zagazola Makama.

Malami Bashir, a lecturer, was abducted alongside his wife and daughter during the raid.

His wife and daughter are included among the released group following the payment of a ransom.

Sources indicated that a pregnant woman among the hostages gave birth to a daughter while being held.

The freed individuals are currently receiving medical care at the General Hospital in Maru.
