"The Kaduna State Government will persist in backing initiatives that enhance unity, peace, and community development," noted the Governor’s representative, highlighting the importance of such programs for stability and progress.

The interfaith iftar gathered Muslim and Christian leaders, traditional rulers, government officials, community heads, and other influential figures in a display of solidarity and respect for one another.

Hon. Peter Tanko Dogara, the Executive Chairman of the Jama’a Local Government Council, encouraged both Muslim and Christian citizens to utilize the fasting periods of Ramadan and Lent for prayer, sacrifice, and increased devotion to God.

He characterized the simultaneous occurrence of Ramadan and Lent as a significant symbol of unity, compassion, and common spiritual values, urging the populace to enhance their prayers for peace, safety, and development in the local government area, Kaduna State, and Nigeria at large.

In a similar effort, the Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, also held a unique Iftar gathering at his palace in Zaria, inviting Muslim and Christian clergy to bolster religious harmony and peaceful cohabitation within the emirate.

This event, marking the tenth day of Ramadan, welcomed Islamic scholars and Christian leaders from various denominations to foster dialogue, respect, and unity among followers of both faiths in the Zazzau Emirate.
