The Jacob Zuma Foundation has firmly rejected any purported link between the former South African president and Jeffrey Epstein, following the appearance of Zuma’s name in recently unsealed court documents associated with the late financier and convicted sex trafficker.

The documents contain a 2010 email, reportedly from Epstein associate Mark Lloyd, detailing arrangements for a dinner at a London hotel to include then- President Jacob Zuma. The message further suggested inviting a woman named Vera to “add some real glamour to the occasion.”

A subsequent email referenced Zuma’s presence at the event, describing him as “impressive and engaging.”

In response to these reports, Mzwanele Manyi, a spokesperson for the foundation, vehemently denied any connection between Zuma and Epstein’s illicit activities. He characterized the coverage as an effort to tarnish the former president’s image “by proximity to the unrelated crimes of a third party.”

Manyi dismissed the allegations as a “speculative narrative building disguised as investigative journalism,” stating definitively, “The matter is closed.”

The foundation’s declaration comes as global scrutiny intensifies with the release of Epstein-related documents. The Zuma camp maintains that the mentions are merely baseless smears, not indicative of any substantial connection.
