26-Year-Old Influencer Dies Eight Days After Failed Breast Surgery

A young influencer, aged 26, has died tragically after undergoing breast enlargement surgery.

The model and mother, Derleya Alves, experienced severe complications following the procedure and passed away just eight days after it was performed.

Hailing from Brazil, Derleya was known for her fitness and lifestyle content, often shared with her followers on Instagram. Her last post appeared on social media on Saturday, February 28, where she informed her fans she was recovering from the surgery.

Derleya underwent the operation on February 20, but she immediately began to suffer intense pain thereafter. Despite her condition, she continued to document her recovery on social media, sharing photos from her hospital bed with her mother assisting her.

In one of her posts, she captioned: "Mum getting me ready after my bath."

As her health deteriorated rapidly, medical professionals worked diligently to save her life.

She endured several tests along with two additional surgeries, which involved repairs to her intestines and the removal of one of her ovaries.

Tragically, Derleya succumbed to complications at Marabá Municipal Hospital located in northern Brazil.

Medical staff are examining whether an underlying intestinal condition may have contributed to her death; however, there are currently no indications of malpractice involved.

The authorities are awaiting comprehensive medical reports before determining the precise cause of her death.
