The appointed officials are set to take on their roles without delay.

During the meeting, some fans, known as the “Colombia fans”, voiced their desires for the removal of the club’s chairman, Nwankwo Kanu, pushing for a new leadership.

Eke expressed gratitude to Governor Alex Otti for the trust placed in him and highlighted his previous experience in similar positions with other clubs.

He assured attendees of his commitment to fostering stability and improving the team’s performance, alongside a belief that better results will soon follow.

Nwaobialor Ananaba, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, conveyed optimism that the new management would motivate the players to achieve higher levels of performance.

Ananaba apologized to fans for the challenges the club has faced, emphasizing the government’s dedication to regaining the club's prestigious status in the league.
