Despite a goalless first half, Kano Pillars intensified their offensive efforts after the break. Their most prominent player and General Manager, Ahmed Musa, broke the deadlock in the 57th minute, igniting jubilant celebrations among the home supporters.

In a different match held in Enugu, title contenders Rangers International delivered a stunning 4-1 defeat to the reigning champions, Remo Stars. Kenneth Igboke led the charge by scoring twice, complemented by goals from Chidozie Iwundu and Wisdom Ebirim.

Goal bonanzas were also witnessed in Jos and Port-Harcourt, where Plateau United and Rivers United triumphed with 3-1 victories against Niger Tornadoes and Bendel Insurance, respectively.

Additionally, Chukwuemeka Obioma’s two goals propelled Abia Warriors to a 2-0 victory over 3SC in Umuahia. Nasarawa United edged Ikorodu City with Bright Amadi’s solitary goal in Lafia, while Uchechukwu Onuoha’s strike in the 45th minute secured a 1-0 win for Kun Khalifat over Bayelsa United.

After the conclusion of the Week 29 matches, Rivers United maintains the top position in the league with 52 points, while Rangers and Nasarawa United hold second and third places with 50 and 47 points, respectively.
