The Finance Sub-Committee overseeing the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention 2026 has confirmed that it has raised adequate funds to satisfy the demands set forth by the organizing committee for the national event.
On Thursday in Abuja, the Secretary of the sub-committee, Abubakar Kyari, made this announcement. He indicated that significant achievement had been realized over the past fortnight, with the resources mobilized fulfilling the necessary requirements for the event.
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State leads the sub-committee, with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos serving as co-chair. Mr. Kyari expressed gratitude for the substantial progress made in fundraising, which has now sufficiently covered the financial obligations for the convention scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Abuja.
Kyari was succinct in stating, "Our core task as a finance committee has been to solicit contributions, and we are happy to report that we have effectively fulfilled this role." He assured that once the final tally is validated, this information would be communicated to the public.
The sub-committee continues to receive further commitments from well-meaning Nigerians, party members, and various stakeholders, which will aid in bolstering their financial resources. Mr. Kyari, who also serves as the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, thanked all contributors for their dedication and support for the success of the national convention.
